Mets 5 Dodgers 4

The Mets won by a score of 5 to 4 against the Dodgers today.  Oliver Perez was OK but wasn’t sharp.  Although, he held the Dodgers to only 2 runs.  He walked 7 batters. OUCH!!!!!  The Mets’ offense showed up tonight to help the pitching staff.  A good win for the Mets tonight.

Mets v Dodgers (Game 2)

The Mets(39-43) will take on the Dodgers(53-30) at Citi Field tonight.  Oliver Perez will take the mound in his return from the DL.  Hopefully, Perez can give the mets a good outing.  Perez needs to limit his walks.  This could be risky because if he blows up, there is just another problem with this team.

The Mets offense needs to wake up today to help Perez.  Hopefully, the Mets can give Perez some runs to take off the pressure.  Jerry Manuel said on WFAN today that if the Mets get shut out again, he may make the Mets lineup by drawing it out of a hat.

Dodgers 8 Mets 0

The Mets go pounded by the Dodgers by a score of 8 to 0.  Pelfrey struggled although he had good pitches.  He had runners on 2nd and 3rd with Furcal up and walked him like he was Pujols.  After the walk, he walked Hudson to force in a run.  Then, made a good pitch to Ramirez but he drove in 2.  The Mets couldnt get anything going as usual.

Mets play the second game of the series tomarrow with Oliver Perez taking the mound.
