Jeff, you’re the joke

Jeff Francoeur had this to say about Citi Field.

“Citi Field is a damn joke.” -Jeff Francoeur

You’re the damn joke, Frenchy.  You didnt do anything to make me think otherwise while you were here.  In fact, you were one of the worst hitting outfielders in the majors.  And, most of the team was able to hit there, considering David hit 12 bombs in that very place.

Who’s the damn joke now Frenchy?  You’re tucked away in Kauffman Stadium where no one will ever here from you again.  Good bye and good riddens.

Reds 3 Game Series

The Cincinatti Reds come to Queens to play their first series in the new stadium.  Bronson Arroyo will take on Fernando Nieve.  Arroyo has had some really good starts and some horrible starts.  Fernando Nieve has struggled in his last 2 starts after 3 strong starts.

The 2nd game of the series will feature Cueto vs. Johan.  Cueto is coming off a terrible loss in Philadelphia where he gave up 9 runs in 0.2 innings.  The Reds lost 22-1!  Johan is coming off a tough loss in Philly.

And, the 3rd game will have Aaron Harang going against Pelfrey.  Harang hasn’t won a game since may and Mike Pelfey struggled badly against the Dodgers.

My trip to Citi Field

I am finally getting a chance to blog about my April trip to Citi Field.  I am proud to say that I witnessed the Mets 1st win @ Citi.  And, I actually probably saw Perez’s only good start.  But anyway, the stadium was gorgious and a major upgrade from good old Shea.  The Jackie Robinson Rotunda was absolutely beautiful with the floors and the giant number 42.  There were many more food options than Shea.  There is a special club for every level of the stadium which is great for every kind of fan.  The stadium shops are much bigger also.  The seats are much closer to the field (which helps if you want autographs).  I got to sit down behind the visitors dugout on the field level.  My first time ths close to the action.  The game and stadium was great.  After the game, me along with my parents and brother hopped on the 7 train and went back to our hotel in Manhattan.
